Celebrating Your Life
Let's celebrate our life.
Celebrating life means celebrating our personal journey, the one we know best while others remain unaware. It is the story behind every sigh and tear that unfolds behind closed curtains, hidden from the cheering crowd. It is the story of self-encouragement, of finding the strength to rise even when motivation is lacking. It is the story of survival after traversing dark tunnels and seeking rays of sunlight amidst the rain. It is the story of downplaying our happiness and feeling undeserving of it. It is the story of countless other experiences that may not seem worthy of individual accolades but have shaped us into the remarkable individuals we are today.
We do not have to wait for spring to arrive in our lives to celebrate. We do not have to wait for someone to present us with a bouquet of flowers. We do not have to wait until we reach our desired destinations. We do not have to wait until we no longer need to consult a psychiatrist.
Celebrating life means creating our own spring, regardless of the external season. It means nurturing the flowers that bloom in our personal garden of life. It means rejoicing in every step taken, every door opened, every path trodden, and every moment of rest. Celebrating life means honouring the life we have chosen to live.
We cannot rely on others to celebrate our life for us, no matter how close they are. They do not walk in our shoes, experiencing life as we do, and seeing our montages of memories from the same lens. They are there to support and surround us with love, but the celebration is up to us. I understand that this world and our lives are far from perfect, and you may not have reached your dream destination yet. You may still experience pain and struggle, and question why another day should be seen. But it is okay. You are okay. You will be okay. This moment of celebration is just the beginning of many more to come. Celebrate the precious life that is uniquely yours and the incredible journey that unfolds. They are all worth celebrating.
